The last paragraph is the most crucial and most realistic! As someone who works in the industry it's sad to say that it's never been harder to get your music in a show...that is if you think a music super will do it for you. In my view using a music library company, one that is trusted, is the only way you're going to get your songs placed unless you know people in the show. Many shows never actually ask their music supers for any song choices, the choices are made by the composer (because most of them have their own libraries and won't allow any outside music), the producers or the editor. The music supervisors are not the ones you want to track down so buying a list of them would be a waste of money. (PS I'd say the most needed pieces are source pieces, classical or dance music... original songs they will not care about from you, those spots have too much weight and they won't entrust it to some unknown)

I have just joined TAXI and am learning about what to do and how to use it. It was interesting and useful to listen to this broadcast - thank you. I thought at first that the songs played were examples of ones that had been successful. It was a bit of a shock when I heard the second one! Nice to see such honest, constructive criticism. I hope one day that one of my songs will be on there! Mx

Great broadcast.
I've been a member of Taxi over the past year and there is nothing like it.
If you're a good writer, Taxi can help define and accelerate your craft.
I attended the sessions in LA a few months back and it was time well spent.
